Hello! First of all my name isn’t Mollie, but let me start by telling you a little about her. Mollie was my great grandmother who had a love of gardening and the countryside. When life gave her lemons, she’d go off to ‘dig the garden!’. Her love of the outdoors was certainly passed down to me, being a lover of all things flowers and nature, escaping to my garden or allotment when I need a bit of ‘me time’! My name is Rachel, the proud owner of Mollie & Mauve, a Yorkshire-based florist studio where we design, create and deliver beautiful and luxurious wedding & event flowers. As you'll see from my photos, I work alongside my two cheeky chihuahuas Martha and Teddy who are often scavenging for flower stems and causing mischief!

My love of floristry began when I worked as a Project Manager in the events industry managing product launches and press shows for well-known beauty and fashion brands. I put together my first floristry brief for an event, witnessed it come to life and from then on I was hooked. I would sit at my desk, staring out the window dreaming about becoming a florist. In 2019, I finally took the plunge and enrolled into floristry school, and I have never looked back! I worked at an Ilkley florist shop as well as a freelance wedding florist, making everything from bespoke bouquets to impressive floral chandeliers before deciding to set up on my own. My love of fashion, styling and the beautiful Yorkshire countryside which surrounds our studio always excites and inspires me, and I love nothing more than walking into a space and coming up with ways to transform it with flowers.
